Lahori Chikar Choley (Classic Street Food)

Lahori Chikar Choley is a classic street food dish from Lahore, taking its name from the Punjabi word “chikar” which means muddy or mushy. It is a golden-brown spicy curry, with a mushy texture and a distinct tangy flavour, owing to the use of dried green mango powder. Traditionally eaten for breakfast with pooris but the one that makes for an incredibly wholesome meal at dinner as well.
